Today's The Australian newspaper (1 June 2022) contains a couple of mentions about sexual violence and domestic violence. Everyone seems to ignore the elephant in the room. Pornography is the fuel reinforcing the horrendous rise in both forms of violence yet porn never seems to get a mention. It certainly was not mentioned in today's articles in our national newspaper.
Following is a Letter-to-the-Editor I have sent to The Australian.
Dear Sir,
Norm Beck is wrong (Last Post 1 June ). He decries the fact that sexual and violent abuse in the Aboriginal communities is accepted whereas "there would be absolute outrage if they were to occur in the leafy suburbs of Melbourne or Sydney."
Early last year over 2500 young schoolgirls were reported raped in Sydney's elite private schools alone due to "easy access to pornography" yet there was no outrage.
Even in the heart of Sydney's leafy suburbs Cranbrook School Principal Nicholas Sampson says it was clear that "easy access to pornography was perhaps the most 'pernicious and undermining' influence on his students."
Canadian based mega-porn giant PornHub reportedly sends the rape of one of these 13 year-old Sydney schoolgirls across the World Wide Web with no community or official ourtage at all.Government officials of all political stripes refuse to take any meaningful action whatsoever to stop foreing based ISPs from sending their illegal child/rape imagery freely into Australia.
Today's (1 June 2022) The Australian newspaper quotes Northern Territory Chief Minister Natasha Fyles as saying "domestic violence and sexual violence affect the whole community." If Minister Fyles is actually concerned she should listen to experts like NSW Police Commissioner Mark Murdoch who says pornography is the fastest growing part of the problem of domestic violence. Former Aboriginal research consultant Emeritus Prof Judy Atkinson in her book Looking at the Problem describes the proven causal impact porn has on horrendous aboriginal sexual atrocities against women and children.
White man's porn invading Aboriginal communities is having a demonstrably devastating effect.
If sexual violence and domestic violence are indeed a concern to our leaders they certainly have a strange way of showing it. Illegal gambling sites and illegal movie streaming sites and even imagery from the New Zealand mosque massacre have all been blocked yet illegal porn sites continue to stream into Australia with no government or community outrage. Foreign illegal porn sites invading our land causing such havoc should no longer be tolerated.

What we all can do is click on my submission to the Senate and House of Representatives Online Safety committees and ask your elected officials to take the action recommended in the submission.
We want illegal porn sites blocked and we want Opt-in laws for Internet porn to be implemented. Simple as that.
