Is homosexuality sin. ? Those of us who claim the name of Christ must then accept His standards and not be conformed to this world. We have to not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness (Eph 5:11) but expose them and not condone its continuance.
Romans 1 says that those who give approval to homosexual behavior are in fact enemies of God. Verse 30 says they are ‘haters of God’. Christian groups who advocate for a homosexual relationships registry are in fact giving their approval for homosexuals to continue in their sin and continue to hate God.
The individual and cultural embracing of homosexuality is the embodiment of idolatrous rebellion against God. Even the pagan culture of the Vikings thought that homosexual behavior was so distasteful they used the term as an insult to their enemies.
Male and female genders have been created by God. Because man exchanged this truth of God for a lie - homosexuality - He says in Ro 1:28 that He “gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.”
2 Pt 2:6 warns us that the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah should serve as an example to every generation. 2 Pt 2:7,10 says Lot witnessed the sensual conduct of unprincipled men who indulged the flesh in its corrupt desires.
Jude 7 is even more explicit in warning about punishment due to homosexuals by saying the men of Sodom and Gomorrah “indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh are exhibiting as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.”
Setting aside a special place for homosexuals to continue in their sin and “to do things which are not proper” and “indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires” with our blessing - a homosexual relationships registry - and hold their hands as they march into eternal fire is simply not possible for anyone with a Biblical Christian Worldview.
If we want to honor God and have Him bless our culture we have to follow His rule book, not our own.
Action: If you know anyone who believes the registry is a good idea please share these Scriptures with them. Send this info to those naive Christians who are so wrong to suggest such a thing is Biblical. Contact your MP. Never cease doing good: bring Christian principles to the attention of our legislature.
